Remember to remove all decorations from candles before burning…which includes homespun fabric décor, rosehips and cinnamon stick embellishments should not be near flames. Any cellophane, jute string and tags should be kept away from flames.
Keep wick centered and trimmed to ¼” to prevent smoking, soot build up, and wick mushrooming. Keep out of drafts.
Burn only in a suitable holder away from any flammable materials. Burn on protected, heat-resistant surface away from other heat sources.
For best results it is recommended to burn candles 1 hr for each inch of its diameter. This allows the flame time to melt the wax to the outer edge and burn more evenly.

For jar candles, remove wick trimmings, matches or other debris before each lighting. Discontinue use when ½ “ of wax remains, as glass may shatter. If misused, glass may crack or shatter. Always keep wick trimmed to ¼” to prevent smoke and soot. Also, keep wick centered.
For pillar style candles, prevent dripping and contain wax pool by hand forming edges in towards center while wax is still warm and pliable. This is also referred to as “hugging” your candle.
Do not move candle while burning or if wax is hot.
Never leave a burning candle unattended!
